Christine has been a member of Seattle’s LGBT community for over 40 years. She was the owner of one of Seattle’s first lesbian coffee houses: “A Special Place,” and known for her work with Seattle’s homeless population, children & adult protective services, Lambert House and Act-Up. She is a GSBA / Pride Foundation recipient and, as a result, has earned a Masters Degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. Christine also earned a BA in Social Advocacy from Antioch University.

LJ Bates III

Returning to Seattle after 12 years serving Hawaii’s nonprofits, LJ brings with him more than 25 years of nonprofit management experience to Generations Aging With Pride. LJ has served in the YMCA network for many years; creating programming and services for millions of youth throughout the Nation. LJ also served as Executive Director of New York City’s largest and oldest senior service agency; serving elders throughout Greenwich Village (yes, the Stonewall rebels) and lower Manhattan, immediately following the tragedy of 9/11. With an EMBA education from Baruch College in NYC, a BS in Human Services / Group Dynamics from Springfield College in MA, LJ is excited to lend his talents and skills to a thriving Generations Aging With Pride!
